It's been a while

It has been an incredibly long time since I've updated this, and yet its nothing compared to how long it was before I put it up on ModDB. This mod has been a some stage of development since Red Alert 1 was still new and fresh. I know some people still play the game, and that's why I've continued development. At a point, I considered moving it to Supreme Commander, and got a bit of flak about that, so I've canceled that switch.

Right now, I can't tell you much, but I have made some exciting developments. First of all, this mod will be made, no matter what game it is for. Secondly, Red Alert is very restrictive. I realise that many people still play it and love it, but as a platform for an all-new game, it isn't up to snuff compared to modern games. No matter what I do, Xaeon Mod will not be using a cutting-edge game like Supreme Commander, for the simple reason that too many people would be restricted from playing it. Which, of course, I really can't afford considering my very small group of onlookers.

Expect another announcement in a month or so, about the future of Xaeon Mod, and especially, what it will be built on.

So much for more frequent updates!

Alright, its been a very long time since the last update...
So, you may be wondering, what does the future hold for Xaeon Mod?
Well, first of all, I have begun completely remaking all of the models, and have several done so far.
Additionally, I am considering moving Xaeon Mod to Supreme Commander. I realise that this is a drastic change, but I think it may be necessary. After all, RA players are few and far between. Plus Supreme Commander would allow the player to be better immersed in the game.
Let me know what you think!

The Xaeon Mod has a new news system, and what the future holds
Posted by DeathRay2K on December 1st, 2006
Hopefully there won't be any very long times between updates now, because its finally easy for me to update the news.

Now, on to real news:

I am currently unable to do much of anything with my computer, besides, obviously, edit webpages, and make 2D pictures...
So, this means I can't continue with Xaeon Mod until I can fix my computer. Right now, its looking like such a fix would cost upwards of $1000CAD.
Naturally, it will take me some time to get the money, and order the parts, so until then, I'll be updating this website, and all my other websites.

You can speed up the process if you want by donating money towards this end.
